Somehow I missed Her Fearful Symmetry's existence, but I also loved Time Traveler's Wife and have that same fear about second books. The last book I finished was "Kafka by the Shore" by Haruki Murakami and loved it.Stacyhttp://littlebluehen.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053233671037217868.post-31262237785844253102009-11-03T13:42:32.385-08:002009-11-03T13:42:32.385-08:00Hi, I don't think I've left a comment befo...Hi, I don't think I've left a comment before but I had to chip in. I remember after having my son, feeling like I would never be able to read a book again. This was along the lines of loosing a limb to me. I have always read, alot. I am happy to report that I have been able to return to reading, but I think after having a baby I seemed to be in a very foggy head space for about 3 months (due to lack of sleep, hormones, etc...) So I just read alot more magazines in this time. Books were my first love, and like a true friend, they wait for you on the other side. Good luck, for the next few months. We are also expecting a little bundle in February.Rennaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079775631882832709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053233671037217868.post-17525298196393923372009-11-03T13:03:26.531-08:002009-11-03T13:03:26.531-08:00How serendipitous...just finished Time Traveler...How serendipitous...just finished Time Traveler's Wife last night and searched for a NYT review of Her Fearful Symmetry this morning...there's always the crippling fear of a second book being a big flop when the first has been such a success.
