the eagle(s) have landed

I'm generally nervous about the whole operation. But it's pretty exciting.

And we got 2 eggs yesterday. Guess what I had for dinner last night?

More on our chooks tomorrow. I can called them chooks now because I am a chicken farmer, err keeper. or herder? I'm not sure yet.

Ok, that thing is a LOT bigger than I thought it would be. I thought it sat on the ground. Am I the only one? So very cool though.

BTW, random kinda sad question, but how long will the live and will they always lay eggs? I know NOTHING about chickens.

Awesome. My fiance and I recently took a tour of chicken coops in our neighborhood and we're totally sold on the idea. Congrats!

Oh, I am so jealous! It looks marvelous. This makes me rethink the whole chicken in the city idea...
