This is quick because we're just about to get in the car to head to the mountains for the weekend.
My friend Danielle sent this link from a little story the New York Times did on a crafty old gentleman who builds/remodels houses using seriously recycled materials.
The photos are so beautifully inspiring, aren't they?
Floor made out of corks! Ceiling made from frame corners!
Thanks for the link Danielle.

awww, glad you liked the link. have a wonderful weekend and see you soon!
what an amazing house! it looks like a fairy tale cottage in the woods!
I know I know. Except I would fall on that floor.
GASP! That ROOF! It's right out of Hansel and Gretel. What a beautiful creation. xox
I live about an hour from these homes... and my friend did some freelance graphic design for him a few years back.
We got to walk around the one with the treehouse in back... it's AMAZING. The front has windows made of cut glass plates, and the back yard is gorgeous. The front building in that particular property is meant to be an artists' studio.
I can only DREAM of having him build us a home.... He's incredible.
wow! so beautiful!
Interesting art work, looks like a nice place for a Wedding
